With each store Bob’s opens, we give one local school a $2,500 Random Act of Kindness donation in celebration of our grand opening!
We also know teaming up can make a big difference and this year we partnered with the Los Angeles Rams to give one worthy elementary school a surprise staff lounge makeover!
Bob’s Charitable Foundation has contributed more than $35,000 to support more than 150 schools across America in ways they need it most!
From supporting school supply drives to helping families maximize small spaces for at-home study stations and student apartments, Bob’s is committed to supporting education!

Supporting Our Schools
With the opening of each Bob’s store, the Community Outreach team has the honor of giving one local school a $2,500 Random Act of Kindness donation. This year we’re thrilled to contribute nearly $50,000 to schools through these donations.
Our store teams have had the privilege of hosting local school representatives as our guests at our Grand Opening celebrations to receive the donations and to share about their school programs.
“When we open a new store, we’re not only providing a place to help make your house a home, but we’re also grateful to join the local community and support our guests in ways that matter the most to them from donating to local schools to supporting worthy nonprofits,” said Lindsay Ruszczyk, Director of Communications and Community Outreach.
School Readiness for Students
Bob’s knows being prepared for the new school year is important for having successful outcomes for students. Employes from Bob’s Home Office in Connecticut worked together to collect school supplies for incoming students this year.
Bob’s Assistant Store Manager Samantha Moriarty helped deliver all the supplies to the Boston 25 News ‘Stuff the Bus’ event in August. Bob’s also contributed a $1,000 donation to the Salvation Army as part of the contribution.
“It was such a fun and collaborative effort to work with our home office team to collect supplies and it was incredibly meaningful to represent Bob’s to deliver the supplies for the Stuff the Bus event,” said Samantha. “I love that Bob’s is invested in supporting students and helping them to start the school year off prepared.”
Setting Teachers up for Success Too!
Bob’s knows that teachers deserve a home away from home so we were thrilled to partner with the Los Angeles Rams to furnish a staff lounge makeover at Centinela Elementary School in California earlier this year.
A small group of school administrators went on a shopping spree at Bob’s to surprise the school staff with a lounge makeover on Teacher Appreciation Day in May. Bob’s and the Rams celebrated the unveiling with the staff and students.
Small Spaces for Back to School
