Give the walls of your kids’ bedroom an out of this galaxy look with this super fun and easy constellation wall.
Supplies Needed
– Dark blue paint color
– Silver Sharpie markers- at least 3
– laptop
– constellation image
– projector- if you don’t have one it’s okay!
– rulers
1. Find a Constellation Graphic
Head for your nearest search bar and start looking for constellation graphics. If you’re feeling a little artsy, you could draw your own.
2. Gather materials
After you’ve mapped out your very own galaxy, it’s time to gather all the materials needed to create this fun look! Make sure those markers aren’t dried out before you start drawing on your wall.
3. Paint!
I recommend a nice dark blue color to make the constellations really pop off your wall.
Pro Tip – if you currently have a dark color on your walls, use a primer and tint it with your new blue color.
4. Project your image
Setup the projector with your laptop to project the constellation image you chose on the wall. You may have to move it around a few times and do it in sections to make sure it fills up the entire wall. Then start tracing the constellations and watch the night sky appear before your eyes!
Don’t have a projector? No problem! You can freehand the constellations. Have some fun with this!
5. Sharpies, Stars, Sharpies, Stars!
Continue tracing little stars and fill them in, then use the ruler to connect the dots… or the stars! Have some fun with this and create your own constellations. How does the Little Bob sound?
