My team and I recently wrapped up the third quarter Café Collections for a Cause Campaign with a big check presentation for $85,000 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation!
I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you for making this possible –especially the girls from Mount Saint Joseph Academy (more on them later). Without your generosity, none of my Café Collections for a Cause Campaigns are successful.
I just love counting the money that you donate in all of my 120 plus stores across the country. And because I believe in these non-profit organizations as much as you do, I provide a dollar-for-dollar match.
It was an honor to present my most recent BIG check to Jay Scott, the father of Alex Scott, at the ALSF Walk/Run to End Cancer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in early October.
“We’re proud to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation through a variety of initiatives, including our annual in-store fundraising, this year’s training camp activation with the Philadelphia Eagles, and the pop-up lemonade stand created by Mount Saint Joseph Academy for our King of Prussia store.”

Thanks to Mount St. Joseph Academy!
The check presentation was a great close to an awesome quarter, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my friends at Mount St. Joseph’s Academy in Flourtown, PA. The members of the Lemon Club literally rolled up their sleeves and put up a lemonade stand to help raise money for ALSF.
The girls worked hard during the summer to create an amazing stand. I truly appreciate all of their time and effort, and judging by the photos, it looks like they had a lot of fun in the process!
Taking the Stand on the Road
After the stand was complete, the girls took the show on the road—literally. They set up the bright yellow stand at not one but two sessions of the Philadelphia Eagles training camp over the summer. The stand, led by Kasey McMahon, was a big hit with the Eagles fans, raising over $900 in a few short hours.
But that wasn’t their last stop! The roadshow continued with two appearances at my King of Prussia location in PA. The girls set up the stand for two beautiful days in September and collected donations.
Once the Lemon Club was done fundraising at the store, it was time to combine all the money they raised ($2000! Great job, Lemon Club!) with all the generous donations my customers gave in my complimentary cafes from July through September, match it dollar-for-dollar, and present a check for $85,000 to ALSF.
