Manchester, CT – September 18, 2023 – Bob’s Discount Furniture, one of the fastest growing omni-channel furniture retailers in the country, today announced Supply & Demand Chain Executive has named Toni Spinelli, Vice President Merchandise Planning, as one of the winners of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Awards. This award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.
“Toni has dramatically transformed Bob’s Discount Furniture’s merchandising planning efforts since she joined in 2019,” said Ramesh Murthy, EVP & Chief Supply Chain Officer at Bob’s Discount Furniture. “Toni’s innovative thinking and expert industry knowledge has resulted in her being able to rapidly drive new capabilities for Bob’s, such as new models for our demand forecasting and the company’s first ever formal S&OP process that ensures alignment to Bob’s forecasts and plans across all key disciplines.”
As Vice President Merchandise Planning, Ms. Spinelli is responsible for leading a diverse team of nine employees managing all core planning functions (Demand, Supply and Inventory) at the company. In the past four years, Ms. Spinelli has introduced new models for Bob’s demand forecasting, built the demand forecasting team and brought the company’s forecast accuracy to world class levels. Alongside Ms. Spinelli’s passion for her own work, she is exceedingly passionate about developing and coaching her team. She is an active member of Bob’s Women’s Business Resource Group whose main goal is to provide support and motivation for all women by giving them the tools to advance within the organization.
