Bob’s Discount Furniture Donates $80,000 to Operation Homefront

Bob's Discount Furniture donates a check for $80,000 to Operation Homefront
Bob’s Regional Manager Todd Peter presents a check to Operation Homefront’s Senior Regional Director, Darcy Clardy

I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in my fourth quarter Café Collections for a Cause program to benefit Operation Homefront.

Due to your generous donations, Bob’s was able to donate $80,000 to Operation Homefront. Included in this donation is a dollar-for-dollar match from Bob’s.

I held a check presentation on Wednesday, February 16 at my Madison, Wisconsin store to officially present the check to Operation Homefront.

Todd Peter, Bob's Discount Furniture Regional Manager, reads a ceremonial check for $80,000 before he presents it to Darcy Clardy from Operation Homefront.

“We owe the success of this program to our customers,” said Todd Peter, Bob’s Regional Manager. “We can’t thank them enough for their generosity and support of Operation Homefront. The brave men and women who defend our country as part of America’s military forces are true heroes.”

A Proud Partnership with Operation Homefront

Bob’s has also been an ongoing sponsor of Operation Homefront’s Holiday Meals for the Military program and has provided furniture donations to veterans and active military members within Operation Homefront’s network.

Operation Homefront’s mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so that they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.

Celebrating its twentieth year in 2022, Operation Homefront provides programs that offer relief through critical financial assistance and transitional housing programs; resiliency through permanent housing and caregiver support services; and recurring family support with programs and services throughout the year.

“We are deeply grateful to Bob’s Discount furniture and its customers for this very generous show of support as part of their ongoing Café Collections for a Cause campaign,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., President and CEO of Operation Homefront.  “Our military families have been there for us in our nation’s time of need and Bob’s, like so many of our individual, foundation, and corporate donors shares our unwavering commitment to being there for this very deserving group of our fellow Americans in their time of need.”

I consider myself the luckiest spokespuppet ever because I get to talk about the thing I love the most everyday – furniture! Tufted headboards, rustic finishes, the difference between a sofa and a couch (yes, there is a difference)… I could go on and on. Oh, I just love furniture and I’m SO excited that I have this blog to share my passion with you! It may take me a little longer to create posts – have you ever tried typing with clay hands – but I look forward to talking furniture with you!
