Bob’s Discount Furniture values the hardworking employees that have made it one of the largest and fastest growing furniture retailers in the country. Bob’s is proud to have a dedicated team that has a passion for providing great service to every customer.

Last Saturday morning, our store teams gathered at their individual locations for our very special, Best of Bob’s ceremony. The Best of Bob’s 2020 recognized the high-performer sales associates from across the country.

There were over 800 Best of Bob’s recipients for 2020. Both full-time and part-time employees are eligible for this honor.

The Best of Bob’s Day is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of our high-performers. The store managers make this a fun event by decorating the store and taking the time to personally acknowledge the Best of Bob’s recipients.

“The Best of Bob’s is all about celebrating the success of our sales associates and appreciating all they do each and every day for us and our customers,” said Debbie Brown, vice president of store administration. “Congratulations to all the recipients on their accomplishment and thank you for your continued support!”

Where in the World Will Bob’s Open Next?

We are excited to be opening our 6th Ohio store in the greater Akron market!  Our 141st store will be located at 3737 W Market St Fairlawn, OH 44333.

We are currently hiring talented individuals to join our leadership team that will start training the first week in February!  For immediate consideration, we encourage you to apply today!

Situated 45 minutes south of Cleveland, along the Ohio-Erie Canal, Akron is a historical city known as the Rubber Capital of the world for its long history of rubber and tire manufacturing.

Today Akron is known as “Polymer Valley” because of the thriving tech market with major companies like Goodyear Polymer Center and many others.

Akronites take food very seriously, especially their burgers!  Some other notable foodie favorites include: Capri Pizza, the historic Quaker Oats company and Quaker Square, excellent Mexican food, Strickland’s Frozen Custard and Barbecue!

The music scene is big in Akron with many talented artists and music festivals like the legendary band The Black Keys and the Highland Square Porchrokr Festival.

For the outdoor lovers, the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is the best way to take in the picturesque sites of the only national park in Ohio.  The Cuyahoga Valley National Park covers more than 50 square miles between Akron and Cleveland.

Bob

I consider myself the luckiest spokespuppet ever because I get to talk about the thing I love the most everyday – furniture! Tufted headboards, rustic finishes, the difference between a sofa and a couch (yes, there is a difference)… I could go on and on. Oh, I just love furniture and I’m SO excited that I have this blog to share my passion with you! It may take me a little longer to create posts – have you ever tried typing with clay hands – but I look forward to talking furniture with you!
