Holiday Toy Drive Team Up!

This holiday season, Bob’s had the honor of hosting toy drives in stores, distribution centers, and our home office, giving guests and employees the chance to support neighbors in need.

The toy collections kicked off with our first-ever sponsorship of the New York Islanders Toy Drive. Bob’s stores in the greater New York city area collected toys to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots. The drives were launched with an in-store community event at Bob’s Carle Place, NY location featuring Islanders mascot, Sparky the Dragon. Guest who contributed to the Bob’s-hosted toy drive could enter to win a Touchdown lay-flat power recliner from Bob’s as well as a ticket package from the Islanders.

Bob’s store employees joined the New York Islanders for the hockey team’s annual Toy Drive held Thursday, December 15th at UBS Arena proceeding a game match-up between the New York Islanders and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Game attendees who donated toys were given vouchers to attend a future New York Islanders game. Bob’s employees helped collect toys alongside marines.

Also during December, Bob’s employees located at the company home office in in Manchester, Conn., participated in a toy drive also to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots. Marines who are part of the local Toys for Tots chapter visited the home office to accept the donation.
