Bob’s Discount Furniture Donates $26,400 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

I want to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our Café Collections for a Cause program from April 1 – June 30th. Together with your generosity, I was able to present Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation with a check for $26,400! Cheers to that.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) was our second quarter Café Collections for a Cause partner. ALSF is dedicated to changing the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.

Customers had the opportunity to donate money to this great organization, at any of our 140+ Cafés across the country. My fine accounting team then collected the donations and provided a dollar-for-dollar match.

John Stowell, our area sales manager presented the check to Liz Scott, Alex’s mother and the co-executive director of ALSF.“I want to say a huge thank you to Bob’s Discount Furniture and of course Bob’s Discount Furniture’s customers and employees for making kids with cancer a priority again through their quarterly campaign,” said Scott. “We are so grateful for the support, not just this year, but every year. That sustained commitment has allowed us to fund projects to find new cures for kids with cancer and also to help families in need by providing financial support and we literally couldn’t do it without great partners like Bob’s Discount Furniture. So, thank you so much.

Proud Partners Since 2018

Bob’s has been a proud supporter of ALSF since 2018. Over the past four years, we have donated over $200,000 to ALSF.

Bob

I consider myself the luckiest spokespuppet ever because I get to talk about the thing I love the most everyday – furniture! Tufted headboards, rustic finishes, the difference between a sofa and a couch (yes, there is a difference)… I could go on and on. Oh, I just love furniture and I’m SO excited that I have this blog to share my passion with you! It may take me a little longer to create posts – have you ever tried typing with clay hands – but I look forward to talking furniture with you!
