MANCHESTER, Connecticut – August 07, 2024 – Bob’s Discount Furniture, one of the fastest growing omni-channel furniture retailers in the country, has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a ‘2024 SmartWay High Performer’.
Now in its eighth year, the EPA’s list of SmartWay High Performers highlights their partner companies that conquer the challenges of the sustainable goods movement. Since becoming a SmartWay Transport Partner in 2023, Bob’s Discount Furniture continues to be a highly efficient, productive, and sustainable freight industry truck carrier.
As part of the SmartWay partnership, Bob’s submits efficiency and air quality performance data to the EPA annually. Under the “Truck Carrier Fleets, Carbon Metric” category, Bob’s efficiency and/or air quality performance fell within the top-ranked performance range for efficiency metric (CO2), grams per mile and grams per ton-mile. Bob’s fleet consumes less fuel for every mile traveled and for every ton of freight they move, by routing and packing their trailers more efficiently.
