Supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Thank you to our guests for helping Bob’s raise over $46,000 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) through our Café Collections for a Cause program.

Through the generous donations of guests and a dollar-for-dollar match from Bob’s, we were able to contribute funds to CMN Hospitals’ local member hospitals near every Bob’s store. There are 170 CMN Hospitals’ member hospitals nationwide.

Since partnering three years ago, Bob’s has contributed more than $150,000 to support member hospitals coast-to-coast!

“We are excited to once again partner with Children’s Miracle Network to support their mission to change kids’ health,” said Lindsay Ruszczyk, Communications and Community Outreach Director. “Our partnership with CMN Hospitals allows us to invite guests to support a worthy organization and the communities where we do business by contributing directly to local member hospitals.”

Bob’s Discount Furniture presented a $46,000 donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Charles Savicki, Senior Director of Cause Partnerships at Boston Children’s Hospital, accepted the donation alongside Erin McCarthy, Officer at Children’s Miracle Network Programs at Boston Children’s Hospital (center) from Roger Dunlap, Senior Vice President of Retail, Nick Vassilakos, Divisional Vice President, and Bill Barton, President & CEO (left to right).

CMN Hospitals support the health of 12 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada. Donations go to local hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays, and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these services.

“On behalf of everyone at CMN Hospitals, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Bob’s Discount Furniture for their incredible support,” shares Staci Cross, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for CMN Hospitals. “Their generous contributions will make a real difference for countless children and families. We are incredibly proud to partner with such a caring and dedicated organization.”

Funds were collected in all Bob’s stores from June through September. The Café Collections for a Cause donation was presented to representatives from Boston Children’s Hospital, a CMN Hospitals’ member hospital, during the grand opening of Bob’s Somerville, Mass., location in November.

In addition to collecting donations in Bob’s store cafés, Philadelphia-area and Detroit-area stores provided guests CMN Hospitalss signature balloon icons to sign.
