Tight on space and money? If you’ve been dreaming of a spacious, tidy and organized bedroom, but don’t know where to start, then read on. I have a few useful tips, tricks and bedroom storage products to help reduce clutter and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Which is good, because this spokes puppet is also running low on spare parts…
Hide it all under the bed
While this used to just be a childhood antic to quickly get your room clean so that you could go outside and play, it’s now a socially acceptable norm. Check out my Spencer bed – it has 6 storage drawers! With so many storage beds to choose from, you can stash the clutter away under your bed without worrying about Mom scolding you.
Out of reach, out of sight… wait, that’s not quite right
When you are working with a small space, the best way to clear the floor is to go up! Use the height of the room with shelves, bookcases or even coat hooks. My Rowan bookcase in white or black, will hold all of your stuff with style!
The wardrobe that wears it well
From wire baskets, to hidden jewelry storage, my vanities, wardrobes and chests have plenty of room to store all of your clothes and the other debris littering your bedroom floor too. My Diva dresser & mirror instantly glams up any room, and the mirrored details reflect light making your space feel bigger!
Sweep it under a new rug
Now I’m definitely trying to get you in trouble with your mom. While sweeping the mess under the rug isn’t really recommended, a rug does complete the look now that you have the floor space cleared. Sink your toes into a plush Bob-O-Pedic or shag rug, or find a pattern that suits your rooms color pallet. With hundreds to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect rug.
