Thank you to everyone who donated to our Café Collections for a Cause campaign to benefit Rebuilding Together. All of the donations collected between July 1 and September 30 were presented to Rebuilding Together during a special ceremony in November.
The BIG check presentation took place during a volunteer event to build wooden ramps for seniors with mobility issues. Associates from my Phoenix, Arizona area stores traded their tablets for hammers and nails for a few hours to help those in need.
One homeowner who received a ramp was very appreciative of the increased access she has to her home.
“I can’t manage my stairs anymore. Can you please help me?” said Mary Carter. “I’m afraid I won’t be able to get out in time if my home catches on fire.”
Café Collections for a Cause
Bob’s Discount Furniture has a longstanding commitment to giving back to the local communities we serve. We do this in a variety of ways including volunteering time, furniture donations and monetary donations. One of our most popular programs is our Café Collections for a Cause. The great thing about this program is that customers can participate. Just visit any of our 150 Cafés across the country and make a donation. We collect the money at the end of the quarter and present it to the selected organization for that quarter. And best of all, Bob’s provides a dollar-for-dollar match up to $75,000! So the more you give, the more we give!
