5 Genius Curtain and Drapery Hacks

I’m so excited to share these curtain and drapery hacks with you. I had so much fun putting this blog together and can’t believe how simple these hacks are. Anyone can use these tips and see fantastic results.

Enjoy!

1.  Make a Cardboard Template

Get perfectly straight curtains, every time. You don’t need a measuring tape or a level! Using two pieces of thin cardboard, create an L shape that you can hold against the doorframe. It’s so easy, you’ll question why anyone ever does it differently.

2. Get a Perfect Pleat Every Time!

If you peek behind this curtain, you’ll find the secret to perfect pleats – a toilet roll tube? That’s right. You can use them as spacers behind your curtains or drapes to create consistent, perfect pleats. Pop one on the rod between every other pleat. If the spacing is too wide, you can even cut them down. What a difference!

3. Hang Curtains Without Drilling Holes in the Wall

There are several ways to hang curtains without damaging walls, but my favorite is command hooks! Not only is this easier, but it’s also especially helpful for renters if they are looking to get their deposit back in full.

4. DIY Curtain Weights

If you’re tired of your curtains blowing around or not hanging straight, you could buy weights to add to the bottom. Another fun trick is gluing a penny to a paperclip that you pace at the bottom of the curtain.

5. Use Curtains on More than Just Windows

Bob

I consider myself the luckiest spokespuppet ever because I get to talk about the thing I love the most everyday – furniture! Tufted headboards, rustic finishes, the difference between a sofa and a couch (yes, there is a difference)… I could go on and on. Oh, I just love furniture and I’m SO excited that I have this blog to share my passion with you! It may take me a little longer to create posts – have you ever tried typing with clay hands – but I look forward to talking furniture with you!
